Attract Bluebirds In Winter?

jelly & mealworm feederAbsolutely, you can!  Many Bluebirds hang around in the winter, and you can not only attract them, but help them.  From now and through the winter, you will usually see Bluebirds staying together in flocks.  The key elements of getting them to your backyard so you can help them is to make sure to provide heated water either with a heated bird bath or with a bird bath heater,  and continue to feed them mealworms.  Personally I use a hanging jelly and mealworm feeder by Hiatt  ( HIATT38200) pictured here.  During the cold winter months, I will have more mealworms in  my window feeder.

There is nothing more refreshing and satisfying than looking out on a cold winter day and seeing beautiful bluebirds that you are helping to survive the cold winter months.
